History for Hennessy Shooters
This traditional cocktail, made with Cognac and lemon de Menthe, was created in 1890. It’s one of the lesser-known classics today, but we think it’s due for a resurgence.

Ingredients for Hennessy Shooters
- 1 ounce Cognac Hennessy
- 1 wedge of lemon
- 1 tbsp honey from sweet clover
Instructions for Hennessy Shooters
To prepare one-shot, combine Hennessey and 1 tbsp. Sweet Clover Honey (gourmet honey is ideal) in the following proportions, however, this may vary somewhat depending on taste.
Squeeze 1/4 of a fresh lemon into the drink and stir to combine. As a deliciously smooth and refined drink, serve at room temperature.
