This is a very tasty recipe this is super soft and buttery rolls glistening with melted butter and granulated sugar on top with melty and gooey cheese inside cheeses roll is a classic Filipino bakery bread you won’t get enough of.
- 2 ¼ cups bread flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoon fast-rising yeast
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 large egg, room temperature room temperature
- 1/4 cup very warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Take 1 ¼ cups of flour, salt, baking soda, sugar, and yeast and put it in the bowl of a stand mixer.
Then take a microwave-safe bowl, heat the cheese for about 45 seconds or until it’s very hot. Add the hot cottage cheese, egg, and water to the flour and baking soda and mix it to make a soft, dough. Add the remaining flour at a time until the dough is firm. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes or until the dough is elastic.
Put a tablespoon of vegetable oil or olive in a bowl and stir it around to coat the sides. Add the dough and turn the dough so that it’s coated with oil. Cover and let rise until doubled in size, should take about 40 minutes. This can be done in a microwave oven too.
Divide the dough into 15 pieces. Shape the pieces into a roll and place them 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Cover and wait until doubled about 20 minutes.
