History For Papaya Cheesecake

Even before the conquering of Greece by the Romans, an ancient type of cheesecake may have been a popular dessert in ancient Greece.

Cheesecake is a layered sweet treat with one or more layers.

A soft, fresh cheese (usually cottage cheese, cream cheese, or ricotta), eggs, and sugar make up the primary and thickest layer.

If a bottom layer is included, it usually comprises a crust or base made from crushed cookies (or digestive biscuits), graham crackers, pastry, or sponge cake.

Baked or unbaked cheesecakes are available (and are usually refrigerated).

Ingredients For Papaya Cheesecake


  • ½ cup raw cashews
  • 2 soft Medjool dates, pitted
  • ½ tbsp dark maple syrup
  • ½ tbsp coconut oil, liquefied

Cheesecake Filling: 

  • ½ cup raw cashews, pre-soaked and strained
  • 120gr papaya, peeled and de-seeded
  • 3 tbsp dark maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil, liquefied
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • zest of ½ a lime
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ⅜ tsp salt

Optional Toppings:

  • a few tbsp unsulphured diced dried papaya
  • a few tbsp mini vegan chocolate chips

Instruction For Papaya Cheesecake

  1. In a food processor, combine all crust ingredients and pulse until fine sticky crumble forms. Place in a 5′′ springform pan and press down to produce a flat foundation crust. While working on the next phase, freeze.
  2. Before you begin, make sure that all of the filling ingredients are at room temperature. In a high-powered blender, combine all of the ingredients until they are perfectly smooth. Over the crust, pour this mixture into the prepared cake pan. To smooth out the top, tap the pan on the counter and smooth it out with the back of a spoon if needed.
  3. Decorate the borders with chosen toppings.
  4. Chill for 5-6 hours or overnight in the freezer. Thaw for 10 minutes on the counter before serving, then slice and serve.
